"When I joined 32 years ago, we had 73 members. We now have nearly 500," Bower said. "Back when I joined, we didn't even use last names because people could lose their jobs. That can't happen anymore, and people feel more free."

 

Our History

Founded in 1953, the Willamettans is the largest club in the Pacific Northwest with over 500 members. We are a member-owned family nudist club located on 40 acres just 30 minutes from metropolitan Springfield/Eugene Oregon. Here you can relax in a clothing-free environment away from the stresses of daily life.

We welcome the opportunity to meet a wide variety of people, diverse in age, profession and culture. Although we enjoy clothing-free activities, we also choose to wear clothes when practical.

The Willamettans is a member-owned resort affiliated with the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) and AANR Northwest, one of AANR's seven geographical regions. AANR is a vital force in preserving individuals’ rights to enjoy nude recreation. AANR’s mission is to advocate nudity and nude recreation in appropriate settings, and educate and inform society about the value and enjoyment of nudism.

The Willamettans is a co-op. Since 1953, members have worked to build and maintain our facilities – including everything from our clubhouse to the tennis courts to our landscaped grounds. Working together has helped create a safe, tight-knit friendly community, which is one of our main qualities.
